Director of Koromakawa rentals and Tours Rajeev Prasad, Mobil Oil (Fiji) CEO Adi Tamara and Organiser of Uprising 7s tournament Ropate Kauvesi.

Two men's and women's teams made up of national sevens players will feature in the Uprising 7s tournament at the Uprising Sports Centre ground in Pacific Harbour next Friday and Saturday.

The tournament is not part of the Fiji Rugby Super 7s Series.

Ropate Kauvesi who was manager of the gold medal-winning Fiji 7s team at the 2016 Rio Olympics is one of the people spearheading the organising of the tournament.

Kauvesi says there will be 16 men's teams and 6 women's teams and they will work according to the HSBC World 7s Series timing.

He says teams like Tabadamu, Ratu Filise, Fire, Wardens and Police will be playing in the tournament.
