A 21 inch TV screen is good enough for more than 300 people from Nabiti and Nasigasiga villages in Dreketi, Macuata as they plan to watch the Japan 7's this weekend.
56 year old Viliame Tuni of Nabiti village said that Sarat Maharaj's family who has the only TV screen in Nabiti and Nasigasiga has to open his doors during the night for the villagers to watch the games.
Tuni told Fijivillage that people have to cross the Dreketi river to reach Maharaj who is on the other side and a short cut to his home is to swim across the river.
He said he was listening to the radio for Hong Kong 7's results with other men at his home last weekend and he has decided not to miss the action of the Japan 7's as they want to watch it on Fiji One.
He added that the celebration last weekend continued until the early hours of Monday morning as they were beating the lali and singing away after the Fiji 7s team's memorable win in Hong Kong.
Tuni added that the other neighboring villagers of Nasigasiga have to walk 6 kilometres to have access to the TV screen.
After all the celebrations after the Fiji vs NZ final, they had to take the 6 kilometre walk back to their homes.
