The celebration of the 15th South Pacific Business Development Businesswoman of the Year awards and Foundation Day media launch is not just a celebration, it is a movement that shines a spotlight on the extraordinary power of women entrepreneurs, and visionaries who are making a macro impact not only in their businesses but in their communities and beyond.

This has been highlighted by the Director on the board of SPBD Fiji, Lorraine Seeto who says the women they honour today have shown them that success is not just about financial gains but about creating a ripple effect of positive change and uplifting families, inspiring communities, and building a better future for the next generation.

Seeto says entrepreneurship requires boldness, resilience, and relentless dedication and it is about daring to dream big and taking the first step to transform those dreams into reality.

The Director and General Manager, Elrico Munoz says they also celebrate the main winners of the 2023 SPBD Businesswoman of the Year Awards, whose success stories continue to inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs across the country.

Munoz says this year they are proud to announce that the nominees for the 2024 Awards will come from the 55 Grade A SPBD centres, out of the 440 centres across Fiji.

He adds Fiji’s women micro-entrepreneurs continue to demonstrate remarkable adaptability, embracing digital tools, sustainable practices, and innovative strategies to secure their businesses and contribute to economic stability.
