Rosie Travel Group is partnering with Vision Motors Fiji in collaboration with Solar Hub in bringing to Fiji its first electrical tourist passenger vehicle as part of its next-generation fleet to service the hotel industry.

Group General Manager Eroni Puamau says this has been part of their long-term plan as a company, as they move away from COVID.

He says they are starting to look at new ways to look after the hotel industry and also the environment.

Puamau says they are excited about this new journey, and there is going to be a lot of learning.

He adds they have partnered with Vision Motors Fiji to bring in the 7-seater MPV MIFA9 manufactured in China by MAXUS.

Founder and Manager of Solar Hub Yogesh Chand acknowledged Rosie Travel Group for taking this step in the right direction for the economy and a sustainable future.

He says when we look at Fiji, we know that about 35 to 40 percent of the energy we use is from diesel energy and non-renewable resources.

Chand says ensuring that we don’t move the carbon emissions from the roads into generators is quite critical and important as we transform into such technologies as electrical vehicles.
