More than 500 Adi Cakobau Old Scholars and students attended the 75th anniversary celebrations that was held at Albert Park in Suva today.

President of the ACS Old Scholars Association Ilisapeci Mavono says the purpose of this celebration is to bring all the old scholars together and it is like a reunion to them with the current students interacting and reminding their sisters of the school culture and how it should be maintained.

Mavono says they are also holding some fundraising during the anniversary celebration to assist the school with some repairs on the existing structures such as the dormitories.

She says some of the old scholars came all the way from the USA, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Dubai and Japan.

She adds out of the 62 pioneers of ACS, two were part of today’s celebration.

The students of ACS also performed traditional meke and other entertainments.
