Against the concerns over youth involvement in crime, students from the Assembly of God Mt Zion Cathedral Sunday School are changing the narrative by publicly praising God, praying for their communities and spreading the word of Jesus in the heart of Lautoka City after school.

A moment that recently touched many hearts was a Facebook post showing a Natabua High School student sharing the gospel with a homeless man in Lautoka.

Witnesses say the student not only spoke about God’s love but also took the time to pray with the man, offering him words of encouragement and hope.

A Lautoka resident who witnessed this says that at a time when youth involvement in crime and drugs is often in the spotlight, seeing a student show such kindness and faith gives him hope that there is still good in the world.

Many believe such actions can inspire a shift in society, proving that despite negative influences, young people can also be a force for good.
