 Former Coca-Cola Games champion RKS eager to bring back lost glory

Former Coca-Cola Games champion Ratu Kadavulevu School is confident of bringing back lost glory at the 2024 Coca-Cola Games when the competition starts tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.

The boys from Delainakaikai will be fielding a strong squad for the games after claiming the Coca-Cola Tailevu Zone competition this year.

Some of the athletes who are their medal prospects this year are Inoke Naisea, Samuela Navitalai, Netani Talemaitoga and Jonetani Gonewai who will be featuring in the senior boys’ 100 metres and 200 metres events.

Their other medal prospects will be coming from the 100 metres intermediate boys events in the likes of Lemeki Ravukivuki and Joseph Andrews who also proved their worth during the zone meets.

RKS finished in second place during the 2023 Coca-Cola Games with 9 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze.

RKS Team Manager, Epeli Lagiloa says this year they are also looking to win more gold from the field events.

Lagiloa is calling on all the supporters of RKS to come out in numbers and support the athletes during the three-day competition.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from tomorrow to Saturday.
