The Permanent Secretary for Education, Alison Burchell has resigned.
The Chairman of the Public Service Commission, Vishnu Mohan says Burchell has expressed a desire to pursue other interests.
According to a government statement, Burchell’s resignation takes effect immediately.
The Commission has appointed Susan Kiran, the Permanent Secretary for Civil Service, as the Acting Permanent Secretary for Education, Heritage and Arts.
