9 women and youth clubs in Ba receive $2,500 grant from Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation

9 different women and youth clubs in the Province of Ba have each been presented a grant of $2,500 by Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation at a Capacity Building Workshop.

Bucalevu village Turaga Ni Koro, Epeli Sasau thanked the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation team for coming forward to provide support ensuring this builds the capacities of youth in the province of Ba.

He adds that they are impressed with the holistic sharing and how they have a challenge ahead to generate revenue and look after their communities’ health and wellbeing.

Ra Provincial Youth Administrator, TevitaNakaba says that this will help youth clubs with projects and they will go around to monitor and evaluate the projects ensuring that it’s implemented according to plan.

During the grant signing at the Capacity building Workshop, Foundation Executive, Ambalika Devi challenged club members present to grow the $2500 to $25,000 through income generating projects.

She also shared project successes from other projects in various provinces and how some of them were raising good revenue from income generation projects.

Devi adds that the Foundation will continue to strengthen women and youth clubs around Fiji through capacity building and social media workshops.

Financial literacy and business tips were also shared at the workshop.

The Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has so far assisted over 300 clubs around Fiji.
