As the Joint Taskforce operations of the Fiji Police Force and Republic of Fiji Military Forces continues, armed soldiers were seen last night at the Topline Housing area in Mead Road.
They are seen coming out of the lower barracks of the housing block, and are also seen checking parked vehicles.
There are clear indications that they were searching for something or someone.
When contacted by fijivillage News, Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Kasiano Vusonilawe says its the normal Joint Taskforce patrol in areas of interest.
Last week, we reported on the 20 year old son of a Republic of Fiji Military Forces officer getting assaulted in Topline Housing.
Police are investigating the incident.
We have been informed that the 20 year old was assaulted by a group of men.
Police say they are gathering more information and statements.
