Coastal Inundation Alert issued for Southern Fiji
A coastal inundation alert is now in force for Southern coastal parts of Viti Levu from Momi through to Sigatoka, Korolevu and Pacific Harbour up to Suva, Southern coastal areas of the Mamanuca Group, Southern coastal areas of Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, Lau and the Lomaiviti Group.

The Nadi Weather Office says a cool East to Southeast wind flow prevails over the group.

Meanwhile, a high-pressure system, coupled with a low-pressure system to the far Southwest of Fiji, is expected to generate and direct damaging heavy swells over Fiji waters from tomorrow.

The Weather Office adds this may lead to sea flooding of coastal areas in Southern parts of the country from Wednesday.
