Former Attorney General and one of the architects of the 2013 Constitution, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum did not appear before the Constitution Review Commission to make his submission today after an invite by the Commission.
The Commission had scheduled him to appear at 3pm today, however at about 3.20pm, the Commission noted that he would not be appearing.
Commission Chair Sevuloni Valenitabua says that an email was sent to Sayed-Khaiyum but he did not show up.
He says that Sayed-Khaiyum also did not respond to the email.
Meanwhile, the Commission will receive submissions until the end of the week.
They are scheduled to submit the report and the draft Constitution to the President by 31st August.
