All Blacks captain Ardie Savea has delivered an emotional message of encouragement to young people from underprivileged backgrounds, saying self-belief is key to overcoming life’s challenges.
Savea, reflecting on his journey from humble beginnings to captaining the All Blacks, says his rise to the captaincy is proof that potential exists in every individual, regardless of their circumstances.
When asked by an RNZ reporter what advice he would give to children growing up with limited resources, Savea says the focus should be on recognising their personal strengths and using them to succeed.
