Egypt have claimed their first-ever win in the FIFA World Cup knockout stage after beating Australia 4-2 on penalties to reach the Round of 16.
The match was locked at 1-all after extra time.
Emam Ashour gave Egypt the lead in the 13th minute before Australia equalised in the 55th minute through an own goal by Mohamed Hany.
Neither team was able to score again, sending the match to a penalty shootout.
Egypt kept their composure to win the shootout 4-2, with Mohamed Salah among the scorers.
An emotional Salah celebrated the victory with his teammates, although there are concerns over his fitness ahead of the next round.
Speaking after the win, Salah says it is history and he had told the players before the game that this was the biggest stage they could play on.
Egypt will face either Argentina or Cape Verde in the Round of 16.
Meanwhile, Cape Verde will face a stern test against Argentina in the next hour, while Colombia will meet Ghana at 1.30pm.
