Co-hosts USA made an impressive start to their FIFA World Cup campaign with a commanding 4-1 victory over Paraguay at Los Angeles Stadium.

The Americans scored three goals in the first half and maintained control throughout the match to secure all three points.

Damián Bobadilla, Folarin Balogun and Giovanni Reyna found the back of the net for the USA.

The result puts the USA in a strong position in Group D as they begin their quest for World Cup success on home soil.

Four more World Cup matches will be played tomorrow, with much of the attention expected to be on the highly anticipated clash between Brazil and Morocco.

Meanwhile, Canada fought back to earn a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the FIFA World Cup match this morning at Toronto Stadium.
