Lelean outclass St John's 41-9 in the Dean's Eastern Zone clash

Lelean Memorial School U18 team delivered a commanding second-half performance to defeat St John's College Cawaci 41-9 in their Vodafone Dean's Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union Competition match at Nukuvuto.

Lelean led 17-3 at halftime after executing their game plan effectively despite challenging wet weather conditions.

Speaking to fijivillage News, head coach Meli Serukalou says the team remained focused on sticking to its structures against a strong St John's side.

He noted that the wet conditions had influenced their approach, with greater emphasis placed on defence, set pieces and maintaining possession.

Serukalou also stressed the importance of discipline in the second half, and his side responded by extending their lead with a dominant display after the interval.

Meanwhile, Ratu Kadavulevu School's Under-14 side thrashed Tailevu North College 50-5, while the RKS Under-15 team defeated Saint Vincent College 39-7.

In another closely contested match, Queen Victoria School edged RKS 8-7.
