Concerns were raised earlier today on the conditions of Garvey Park in Tavua after students were digging out stones from the ground.
Assistant Minister for Sports, Aliki Bia had raised the alarm saying this is not good and it does not portray a good image for the development of our rugby.
Bia says the welfare of students and players is paramount.
This is also because it is the first time that Garvey Park is hosting the Vodafone Super Deans National Quarterfinals as well as the Weetbix Raluve Quarterfinals.
Concerns have also been raised on how hard, and dusty the ground is with two players already being taken off the field in ambulances.
The U18 quarterfinals are currently underway at Garvey Park between Ra High School and Ratu Kadavulevu School, which will be followed by Cuvu College vs Nasinu Secondary School at 3.05pm.
At the HFC Bank Stadium, Lelean will play Rati Navula at 4.30pm, followed by Grammar and Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute at 5.55pm.
