Saint Joseph’s Secondary School President for Old Scholars residing in Canada, Teresa Rehman, was overwhelmed to meet her friends from primary and secondary school as she reminisced about their school days in school.
Rehman shared this with fijivillage News this evening during the registration for the 70th anniversary cocktail at the school hall today.
Rehman was excited and emotional as she said she tries her best to attend every Saint Joseph’s reunion when the time comes.
She says she left Fiji when she was 18 and has always held Fiji and the school close to her heart for grooming her into the lady she is today.
Rehman says the school reminds her of and brings back a lot of good memories, and she is encouraging old scholars from around the country to come together as sisters and celebrate 70 years in style.
Rehman says she was a school prefect and feels blessed to have attended Saint Joseph’s.
Meanwhile, Saint Joseph’s Secondary School will celebrate its 70th Jubilee from 11th from Friday to Saturday under the theme “Together in Gratitude, Hope, Love and Compassion.”
The celebrations will begin on Friday with an opening Mass, student entertainment, cake cutting, an alumnae career talanoa, an alumnae march and an evening of fashion.
Saturday will feature the Alumnae Market Day followed by Pacific Elegance – Celebrating Sisterhood at Vodafone Arena, while the celebrations will conclude on Sunday with a Jubilee Closing Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Other events are also planned out throughout the week.
