The Fiji Police Force's Internal Affairs Department is carrying out a preliminary investigation into the alleged conduct of a Sigatoka-based police officer and reported threats made against a female student.
Police say the next course of action will be determined once the preliminary investigation has been completed.
Police are appealing to anyone who may know the victim or have information that could assist with the investigation to come forward.
Members of the public can contact the Police toll-free line on 1681, Crime Stoppers on 919, or report the matter at their nearest police station.
The Fiji Police Force is also encouraging members of the public to use the 1681 toll-free number to report crimes, suspicious activities, complaints about service delivery, or concerns regarding the conduct of police officers.
