A 17-year-old boy has been taken in for questioning after the death of a 12-year-old boy in Wailoku.
Police have confirmed the post mortem report has classified the case as murder.
The boy was last seen playing at a neighbour's home on Wednesday night but did not return home.
His mother later reported him missing.
Police say his body was discovered near his home at around midday yesterday.
