About $10,000 seized from 3 people in Nadi on New Year’s Eve

Three people were allegedly found in possession of cash believed to be proceeds of crime after they were pulled over by police on New Year’s Eve in Nadi.

They were stopped for failing to use seat belts.

After checking the driver’s licence, the police officer became suspicious, and upon questioning, all three suspects were found to be behaving suspiciously.

When police searched the three, one of them was found with over $9,000 in cash, while another had over $500.

Suspect one is a 27-year-old farmer from Sonaisali, Nadi, while the other two are from Tuirara.
