As Communications Fiji Limited ended their 40th birthday celebration with a Gratitude Concert at Albert Park last night, Founder and Chairman William Parkinson has assured people that they will continue to innovate and provide their listeners and followers with great content on air and online.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Parkinson says he thinks the people know what's coming, as the company has had a long history of moving with the times.

He says it is really about saying what are the kind of services that CFL can provide the listeners with in terms of entertainment and information.

Parkinson says their listeners and users online come first as far as they are concerned and they are the first priority for CFL in all situations.

Parkinson says CFL has operated in Fiji and Papua New Guinea, and for a period in the Solomon Islands, so there's much that they have had to deal with, whether it is natural phenomenon and disasters, earthquakes, tidal waves, and cyclones here in Fiji.

He says the ups and downs of the different countries and as they have started to find their way as democracies in this world, and that's had its challenges as well.

Parkinson says he personally experienced all the coups and CFL has been through all of that.

He acknowledged the team at CFL for a job well done in setting up for the 3-day event which started off on Thursday.

He says they have had a very tough couple of weeks because as they have just come off Fiji Showcase, which is a big job in itself, and gone straight into this 40th anniversary.

He adds that the team are very tired but they still put in a tremendous effort in putting all this together and it is great to finish off at the park with all their listeners and followers.

Meanwhile, CFL's 40th birthday celebration ended on a high note as people turned up in numbers at Albert Park to end the 3-day celebration that started off on Thursday.

The night kicked off with entertainment from the VOU Dance Company that set the tone and hyped the crowd up, before the Bollywood Dhamaka team made up of Navatarang, and Radio Sargam personalities followed up with a dance performance.
