Emotions ran high at the Suva Foreshore yesterday evening as Miss Unique Rubber Stamp, Temalesi Tuiwalese, was crowned Miss Photogenic at the Hibiscus Festival 2025, winning hearts with her radiant smile.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Tuiwalese, who also walked away with a $500 cheque, gave thanks to God, her family for their support, her friends for putting together her outfit, and the media for taking “pictures of her good side.

In a touching moment, she shared how much the presence of her family, especially her father, a dedicated teacher, meant to her.

She says she did not expect to see her father, as he is a workaholic.

Tuiwalese jokingly says that it was also her Cakaudrove smile that won her Miss Photogenic.

She says she is also nervous and excited for today, as it will be the crowning night of Miss Hibiscus 2025.

Today is the final day of the Hibiscus Festival 2025 with the float parade starting at 1pm.

The announcement of the best float will be held at 3pm, followed by entertainment from Malumu ni Tobu kei Naivaukura and Leba Boi Yawa E Lomai Nasau from 4pm to 6pm.

From 6pm to 7.30pm, the Queens will take centre stage where they will be answering why they should be the next Miss Hibiscus.

The crowning of the new Queen will be from 8pm to 8.30pm. Ciwa Music will entertain the crowd on the main stage from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
