A brawl between students at the Suva Bus Stand last Friday is being investigated by Police.

The video of the incident has been shared widely on social media.

It shows a group of girls confronting each other and throwing punches.

A boy then attempts to shield one of the girls from those punches.

The circumstances surrounding the fight are yet to be established as investigations continue.

When asked if Police would consider more foot patrols at the Suva Bus Stand, Deputy Police Commissioner Itendra Nair says if there is a request from the Commanding Officer Totogo Police Station for additional manpower, they will be able to assist through the Police Special Response Unit.

The Education Ministry is yet to confirm if it is looking into this incident.

We have sent the video with questions to Education Minister Premila Kumar.
