25 children battling cancer were treated with movie tickets to watch Moana 2, hot lunch and Christmas gifts and a family fun day filled with joy and laughter thanks to BSP Financial Group Limited who also presented a $20,000 donation to WOWS Kids Fiji.

BSP says their collaboration with WOWS Kids Fiji reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the foundation’s vital work in providing care and resources to families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer.

BSP Relieving General Manager Retail, Kamini Mani says it is heart-warming to see the smiles on the faces of these young children enjoying the event.

Mani says adding the donation reflects their enduring commitment to WOWS Kids Fiji which they have been making donations to since its inception and this underscores their dedication to supporting communities and the Vanua they serve.

She also commended the tremendous efforts by the WOWS volunteers who offer critical help, outside medical services, such as care and support for patients and families throughout their treatment and beyond. Mani says each of the volunteers were presented with a little gift as token of appreciation.

WOWS Kids Fiji Board member, Doctor Mahmood Khalid, highlighted the importance of holistic care in battling childhood cancer.

Dr Khalid says cancer in children is curable, but it requires commitment and persistence.

Dr Khalid also noted that the care children with cancer receive in Fiji is on par with treatment in Australia and New Zealand however, there remains a critical need for community support to overcome logistical challenges and provide resources in remote areas.

He says their longstanding partnership with WOWS Kids Fiji continues to make a difference, helping the organisation provide essential services such as counselling, access to treatment and community outreach.

Dr Khalid further encourage individuals, businesses and communities to join in this effort and support in any way they can to help these deserving little warriors.
