We remember the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, and we should also remember his suffering, trial and death.

Leader of the Catholic Church in Fiji Archbishop Peter Loy Chong, highlighted this in his Easter message, saying that is what they are trying to make present so people can participate in his suffering, death and resurrection.

The Easter Triduum is the most important period in the liturgical year for Roman Catholics, spanning from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday as it commemorates the Passion, Crucifixion, Death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Archbishop says to remember to make present the redemptive acts of Jesus Christ so that as these mysteries of faith of his life become present, we can experience the saving grace of Jesus.

His Holiness says if we can make that in our mind and in our lives, make them present, then we are able to receive the grace, the fruits of the saving grace of God.

He says during Holy Week, we set aside times for ourselves and our family to spend with Jesus.

He says through our memory and participating in the suffering and the death of Jesus, only then can we experience the resurrection.

The Archbishop says if we really remember well, if we celebrate well, then we should experience the grace of God's salvation through Jesus Christ.
