Serious Organised Crime Department officer Josua Cakausese says illicit drugs were found on a table and in another bedroom at a house at Lot 134 Rewa Street on the 23rd of September, 2025.
While giving evidence during the hearing, Cakausese says when they arrived at the scene, the house was locked and a Palauan Islander was inside.
He says when Ginna Choi arrived, he explained to them the reason for the search.
He says cash was also seized.
During cross-examination, defence lawyer Jerry Dinati questioned Cakausese on whether Choi was found in possession of any drugs at Lot 170, and Cakausese agreed that she was not.
He also agreed that they searched the house without a search warrant.
However, during re-examination by State lawyer Eoghn Samisoni, Cakausese explained that Section 22 of the Illicit Drugs Control Act allows them to do so.
Yu Yang Feng, Minghui Dai and Zhou Lan are each charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs for allegedly being found with 39.509 grams of methamphetamine.
Lan is also charged with possession of property suspected to be proceeds of a crime for allegedly being found with FJD$7,180, USD$60, 1,520 in Hong Kong currency and 1,600 Chinese yuan.
Feng is also charged with unlawful supply of illicit drugs.
It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2025, without lawful authority, Feng engaged in dealings with other persons for the transport and supply of methamphetamine.
He is also charged with being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of a crime.
Feng was allegedly found with $906.25 in cash.
