Cristiano Ronaldo could get valuable game time tomorrow when Portugal take on Nigeria in their final warm-up match before the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Friday.

The 41-year-old played the first half of Portugal's 2-1 victory over Chile last Sunday before being substituted at half-time, and is expected to continue his preparations for what is likely to be his final World Cup appearance.

Ronaldo has been named in Portugal's squad for the friendly and will be looking to sharpen his form ahead of the tournament in the United States.

The veteran striker heads into the World Cup after an extraordinary international career that has seen him score 143 goals in 227 appearances for Portugal and help his country win the UEFA European Championship in 2016.

Portugal, coached by Roberto Martinez, are among the favourites to win the World Cup and boast a talented squad featuring Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leao.

Nigeria, despite failing to qualify for the World Cup, will provide a stern test, having gone unbeaten in their last six matches.

The match kicks off at 8.45am.

Portugal will then fly to the United States and settle into their base camp in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The FIFA World Cup will begin this Friday, and Portugal will open their campaign against the Democratic Republic of the Congo next Thursday at 5am before facing Uzbekistan on June 24th at 5am and Colombia on June 28th at 11.30am in their remaining Group K matches.
