Nadi FC faces a crucial test tonight as it hosts Suva FC in the opening match of the second round of the Extra Premier League at King Charles Park at 7pm.
The Jetsetters are currently ninth in the standings with seven points from nine matches and desperately need a win to revive their season after missing out on qualification for the BIC Fiji FACT for the first time in the club’s history.
Nadi will also be looking to bounce back from its 2-0 loss to Suva earlier this season and deliver a much-improved performance in front of its home supporters.
Suva, meanwhile, sits fifth in the standings with 14 points and remains firmly in contention for a top-four finish despite suffering back-to-back defeats against Nasinu and Nadroga in recent rounds.
The capital city side has scored 19 goals so far this season and will be aiming to complete a season double over the Jetsetters.
Nadi has struggled defensively this season, conceding 16 goals while scoring 11 from nine matches.
Meanwhile, in tomorrow’s matches, table leaders Labasa will host Rewa at Subrail Park at 2pm, while Navua will host Nadroga at the Uprising Sports Ground at 3pm.
On Sunday, Lautoka will face Tailevu Naitasiri in front of a home crowd at 11am, while Ba will host Nasinu at Govind Park at 3pm.
