Extra Bula FC faces its toughest test yet in the OFC Pro League Leaders Group this afternoon when it takes on current table leaders South Melbourne FC at Eden Park in New Zealand.
Bula FC heads into the crucial Round 6 clash at the bottom of the Leaders Group standings with zero points after back-to-back losses and without scoring a goal so far in the Leaders Group.
The side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Auckland FC in its last outing after losing 1-0 to South Island United FC in its opening match.
South Melbourne FC currently leads the table with six points and has already secured a place in the semi-finals, while Auckland FC and South Island United FC both sit on three points.
Bula FC will face South Melbourne FC at 3pm, while South Island United FC takes on Auckland FC at 7pm.
Under the competition format, the top three teams from the Leaders Group will qualify for the semi-finals, while the fourth-placed side will play the winner of the Challengers Group, which features the bottom four teams.
The semi-finals are scheduled for 20th May at GO Media Stadium, with the final set to be played on 24th May at Eden Park.
The OFC Pro League will also determine Oceania’s representative for the annual FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the quadrennial FIFA Club World Cup.
