FSC dismisses claims that mill workers were denied entry
The Fiji Sugar Corporation says claims circulating on social media that employees have been denied entry to its mills or that mill gates have been locked are false.

In a statement, FSC says the 2026 Crushing Season Seasonal Employee Roster came into effect from 8am today, with employees required to report to work according to the approved shift roster.

It says workers rostered for the afternoon shift have been instructed to report for duty at 4pm, while employees assigned to other shifts must report at their designated times.

FSC stresses that no rostered employee has been denied entry to any of its three mills and that the mill gates remain open for employees reporting for their assigned shifts.

The Corporation says workplace access during the crushing season is being managed in line with the shift roster and Occupational Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safe, orderly and efficient operation of the mills.

FSC is urging employees, stakeholders and members of the public to rely on official Corporation communications and not to circulate or act on unverified information that may cause unnecessary confusion.
