Brazil failed to break down a determined Moroccan side as they were held to a 1-1 draw in their FIFA 2026 World Cup Group C clash in New York.
Playing in front of a packed crowd of 80,663 fans, Brazil struggled to find their usual attacking rhythm and were unable to turn their dominance into a winning result.
Vinícius Júnior gave Brazil the lead and looked set to guide his side to victory, but Morocco remained disciplined and continued to frustrate the South Americans.
Ismael Saibari struck for Morocco to level the scores, ensuring his side walked away with a valuable point.
Brazil pushed for a winner but could not find a way through Morocco's resilient defence, leaving players and supporters visibly disappointed at the final whistle.
The result leaves Group C wide open as both teams begin their World Cup campaigns with a point each.
Earlier, Qatar and Switzerland also shared the points after playing out a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile, Haiti will take on Scotland at 1pm, while Australia will face Turkey at 4pm.
