The McDonald's Fiji Drua Women's team have secured a home semi-final after producing a dominant display to defeat the Reds 50-17, running in a series of impressive tries while showcasing their attacking flair and rock-solid defence.
The Drua were in complete control during the opening half.
In the 28th minute, Drua crossed over for another try to give them a commanding 21-0 lead.
Qoro sliced through the Reds' defence before delivering a perfectly timed pass to Aqela Biutu, who finished the move to extend the advantage to 26-0.
The Reds finally found a breakthrough in the 38th minute with their first try of the match, reducing the deficit to 26-5.
However, the Drua responded immediately.
Applying relentless pressure, they forced another opening and crossed over in the 39th minute to head into halftime with a comfortable 33-5 lead.
The second half began with the Reds looking for a way back into the contest.
Eva Kapani, the Reds Prop, produced a strong line break shortly after the restart, but the Drua's defence held firm to deny the home side.
Both teams created attacking opportunities during the opening stages of the half, but handling errors and strong defensive efforts prevented either side from adding to the scoreboard.
The breakthrough eventually came in the 49th minute when Litiana Vueti scored another well-worked try, stretching the Drua's lead to 40-5.
The Drua continued to apply pressure in attack, although they lost possession after building momentum in the 60th minute.
Four minutes later, the Reds mounted several attacking phases deep inside the Drua's territory, Drua side's determined defence stood tall to keep them scoreless.
The Drua then launched one of the most impressive attacks of the match in the 67th minute.
After patiently building through 11 phases, they finally broke the Reds' defence to score another try and extend their lead to 47-5.
The Reds refused to give up.
After more than 20 phases of relentless pressure in the 73rd minute, the Reds earned a penalty and eventually crossed for a try two minutes later to cut the score to 47-10.
They added another late try in the 79th minute to narrow the margin further to 47-17.
With the final play of the match, Qoro calmly slotted a penalty goal to bring up the half-century, sealing an emphatic 50-17 victory for the Drua Women.
The convincing win highlighted the Drua's clinical finishing, disciplined defence, and ability to dominate possession, as they outclassed the Reds from start to finish.
