The suspect who broke into a house at around 11.30pm last Sunday in Sawani, Nausori, has been identified but not arrested.
Sandeep Prakash told fijivillage News that his family does not want to continue living in fear.
Prakash says his 15-year-old daughter has been left shaken by the incident and cannot sleep at night due to fear.
Prakash says he was informed by the Nausori Police Station that the same suspect is involved in three other matters.
The homeowner has also thanked members of the community who assisted the family in identifying the suspect.
Police have not made any comments on the progress of the investigations.
