To celebrate 150th anniversary of Tower Insurance in Fiji, the organisation is launching a programme of initiatives and events throughout the year.

Tower CEO Blair Turnbull says from humble beginnings with just one agent and protecting their very first customer with insurance in 1874, they are now employing more than 250 people where all are local talent – who support Fiji, Pacific and New Zealand operations across all core business functions.

He says to thank their customers, partners, teams and the people of Fiji for 150 years of loyalty and support, they will be carrying out various initiatives this year.

Turnbull they will be officially opening of their brand-new Suva hub next Wednesday which has a modern work environment, featuring the latest in workplace technology.

He says their Suva hub has long been the heart of their Pacific operations and this new building is an investment that demonstrates their commitment to Fiji.

Turnbull says Tower’s Suva hub team of 250 plus now help more people protect the things they love with insurance than ever before, with support for 330,000 customers across Fiji, the wider Pacific and New Zealand.

He further says their people are at the heart of everything they do and they take immense pride in proving that you do not need to leave the Pacific to build a successful financial services career.

He says their Fiji leadership team, tasked with spearheading the new Suva hub; Jajeena Bhan, Joseph Magnus and Marina Elliott, are a true testament to this.

He says this trio exemplifies the wealth of local talent and expertise that Tower has been able to tap into for the past 150 years, to shape and drive the local insurance industry forward.

Turnbull also says their forward strategy for Fiji is simple as they are investing in local talent and technology with the goal of increasing insurance accessibility, coverage and ultimately resilience.
