Ten Fijians have been provided employment by Rialto Properties in Nadi as they started serving the market on 1st of July last year with only one sales representative.

This was stated by Licensed National Real Estate Sales & Rental Consultant, and Director Ravina Lata while speaking at the official launch.

Lata says Rialto Properties started from a vision in 2016 and here they were, turning a dream into reality and in turn, helping people achieve their dreams in Fiji’s property market.

She also says she returned to Fiji in 2017 after 15 years and thought about getting into real estate, nurturing a business, and being able to give back to the community.

The Director says COVID-19 pandemic came along and sent the world into lockdown, but it gave her time to do her research and prepare her to put together an amazing team after borders reopened.

While officiating the launch, Deputy Prime Ministers and the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Manoa Kamikamica says as Fiji recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of real estate agents and salespeople play a significant role in economic recovery.

Kamikamica commended Lata’s confidence and enthusiasm to join the real estate industry.

He says she is among the few women in this industry setting the foundation for more women to seriously consider a career in the real estate industry.

Kamikamica also says as the Minister responsible, it is important to ensure that necessary support is provided in growing her business.

While officiating at the launch Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad says the Fiji Government aims for simplicity and streamlined business processes for an enabling environment.

Professor Prasad says Rialto Properties Managing Director Ravina Lata is among the few women in the real estate industry setting the foundation for more women to seriously consider a career in the real estate industry.

He also says with the challenges he has been listening to, they want to make it easy to do business in Fiji and there are strategies being put in place to provide a better and speedy environment for businesses.
