Rainibogi says the victory also belongs to the Fiji Weightlifting staff, who played a major role in helping him achieve success.

The Commonwealth Games champion also dedicated the win to everyone back home who supported and prayed for him throughout the competition.

He says the achievement has motivated him to keep working hard as he prepares for more competitions in the future.

Rainibogi won gold in the men's 110kg category with a Commonwealth Games record total of 378kg, lifting 170kg in the snatch and 208kg in the clean and jerk, with both lifts also setting Commonwealth Games records.
