A Fijian bodybuilding team has left for Christchurch, New Zealand to compete in I Compete Nation Competition (INC), with the athletes targeting gold.
Agility Body & Fitness Federation President Elizabeth Maki says the competition is a major milestone for the team as they prepare to compete internationally for the first time.
Maki says training has been one of the biggest challenges during their preparation, but the athletes have remained committed despite the demands of getting ready for the competition.
She says the team’s goal is to win gold, while proudly representing Fiji in Christchurch.
ICN, or I Compete Natural, is a drug-tested bodybuilding and fitness competition organisation.
The competition will give the athletes an opportunity to test themselves against international competitors and build on their experience competing in Fiji.
