Rainibogi, who is originally from Levuka in Ovalau, says he is determined to improve on the bronze medal he won at the last Commonwealth Games.
He says training has gone well, and he is feeling confident ahead of the competition.
Rainibogi says his goal is simple: to return home with a medal better than bronze.
The national weightlifter says his biggest inspiration is his family, who continue to support him despite facing financial difficulties. He says their sacrifices motivate him to keep working hard and chase his dream of representing Fiji on the international stage.
Rainibogi attended Levuka Public School before completing his secondary education at John Wesley College.
Before taking up weightlifting, Rainibogi played rugby at school but says he discovered his passion for the sport and has never looked back.
He will be one of two Fijian weightlifters competing at the 23rd Commonwealth Games, alongside Apakuki Tabuawaiwai.
Rainibogi is scheduled to compete in the Men's 110kg final on Thursday, 30th July from 8.30pm to 11pm.
The 23rd Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow from Saturday, 25th July to Monday, 3rd August.
