The final rites of late Minister of Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations Agni Deo Singh will be performed this Sunday, while members of the public wishing to convey their condolences and pay tribute to the late Minister can sign Condolence Books available at the Ministry offices.
People can sign the Condolence Books during normal working hours at Mercury House in Victoria Parade, Suva, Tavaiqia House in Lautoka and Ratu Raobe Building in Labasa.
The Ministry of Employment further says that the reguregu for Singh will be held from today to Friday from 2pm to 8pm daily, at the family residence located at Lot 17, Amar Singh Road, Dilkusha, Nausori.
They say members of the public, Government representatives, diplomatic missions, development partners, employers, trade unions, stakeholders, organisations, friends and well-wishers wishing to pay their respects are welcome to attend during the mentioned dates and times.
The official funeral will be held this Sunday.
The funeral procession will depart the Suva Mortuary at the CWM Hospital for the Ministry of Employment at Civic House, where Ministry staff will pay their final respects from 8.30am to 9am.
The funeral gathering and public viewing will then be held at Rishkul Sanatan College from 9.30am to 12pm.
Thereafter, the late Minister will be taken to the family residence at Lot 17, Amar Singh Road, Dilkusha, Nausori, where family members will pay their final respects and the ritual ceremony will be held from 12.30pm to 1.40pm.
The funeral procession will then proceed to Raralevu Cemetery, where the late Minister will be cremated.
The final ceremony at the cemetery is scheduled from 2.15pm to 4pm.
The Ministry has also acknowledged with sincere appreciation the messages of condolence, prayers and support extended to the family of the late Agni Deo Singh, and to the Ministry, during this period of mourning.
