The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change supported the Nasinu Women's Forum by providing cleaning supplies, including sacks, gloves, and hand sanitisers, for a community clean-up campaign across the Nasinu area.
The initiative brought together members of the Nasinu Women's Forum, the Fiji Police Force's Community Policing Directorate, officers from Nakasi Police, and personnel from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), who worked side by side to clean communities from Nakasi to Caubati.

Minister for Environment and Climate Change Lynda Tabuya says the volunteers and partner agencies demonstrated that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility.
Tabuya posed a question on how long can the community continue picking up someone else's rubbish; every citizen has a responsibility to dispose of their waste properly.
The Minister stressed that Fiji needs a shift in behaviour and a stronger sense of civic responsibility, encouraging communities to educate one another and promote greater accountability to discourage irresponsible littering.
The Ministry acknowledges all volunteers and partner organisations for leading by example.
They also encouraged every Fijian to play their part by disposing of waste responsibly and helping to keep communities clean, healthy, and welcoming for future generations.
