Man spends Christmas in hospital after accident

A 29 year old man will be spending his Christmas in hospital after receiving injuries in a road accident yesterday afternoon.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri this morning informed Fijivillage news that the accident happened as the 29 year old was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and bumped into a coconut tree in Lakeba in Lau.

Inspector Sokomuri said there were four other passengers in the vehicle along with the victim have been treated and sent home while the 29 year old man had to be airlifted to CWM Hospital.
