He says they received water last Wednesday and lodged another request after their supply ran low.
The resident says they waited several days before another delivery was made on Sunday after he contacted a senior official for assistance.
He says they were expecting another delivery on Wednesday, but the water cart had not arrived at the time he spoke to fijivillage News.
The resident says when there is no water at home, his family has to travel about 10 kilometres to another water source to wash and collect water.
He says they sometimes make the trip at night because the water source is beside the road, making it difficult for the family to bath during the day.
The resident says the situation is also difficult for the children, who have to prepare for school the following morning.
For drinking water, the family is buying bottled water, which the resident says now costs about $21 a carton compared to around $18 previously.
He says his family is only asking for a reliable water delivery service and clearer information on when deliveries will be made.
The resident also alleges that some water cart workers became upset with him after he contacted senior officials when earlier requests were not attended to.

He says he only escalated the matter because his family needed water and they were not getting a clear response on when a delivery would be made.
The resident is calling for water cart requests to be attended to on time as families continue to deal with the water shortage.
