Police conducts drug raids

Police conducted a number of drug raids around the country in the last 24 hours.

A team of Police officers stopped a vehicle in Navosa yesterday and upon searching found a bag filled with sand underneath which dried leaves were hidden.

The driver has been taken for questioning.

In Labasa, a 26 year old woman was arrested in a billiard shop yesterday. It is alleged she was selling marijuana rolls.

In an another case, a 25 year old man was arrested in Nadi town yesterday who was found with some packets filled with dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

The dried leaves have been sent to Koronivia Research station for examination.
