"Forget about the World Cup achievement it’s a new year and let’s get ready to move up another step"
Those were the words of Flying Fijian 15's rugby coach Ilivasi Tabua to the members of his squad as they about to wrap up their preparation for the opening Pacific Nation Cup against Samoa.
With the run on team to be announced tomorrow, Tabua has called in Marika Vakacegu to stand in for Sireli Naqelevuki, and has made it clear to his players to set new goals for them especially looking at the 2011 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the Manu Samoa team arrived in the country this morning with Coach Niko Palamo looking at Saturday’s showdown as biggest break in his coaching career.
Samoa meets Fiji at 2pm on Saturday at Churchill park in Lautoka and you can catch a live commentary of the match on our sister radio station Viti FM.
Other matches on the same day also include New Zealand Maori make their debut by hosting Tonga in Albany, before Australia A under new coach Phil Mooney face Japan a day later.
