108 Diarrhoea, 63 Dengue Cases Reported So Far
There has been an increase in the number of people suffering from water-borne diseases and so far officials have confirmed 108 cases of diarrhea and 68 dengue fever cases.

The General Manager Community Health Central/Eastern, Dr Solo Qaranivalu says they have received reports of an increase in Diarrhoea and viral infection cases from Rewa, Tailevu and Naitasiri.

He says in Rewa, 9 people are currently suffering from Dengue, 1 with Leptospirosis and 51 from Diarrhea while in Tailevu 30 diarrhea, 1 Leptospirosis and three Dengue cases have been reported. He says ten people were found to be suffering from Diarrhoea in Naitasiri and 1 with Leptospirosis. He says 137 people were seen by doctors for viral infection in the three areas.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Medical Officer Western, Doctor Tharid Ali has also reported an increase in the Diarrhea cases in the western division after the flood.
