Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for parts of Fiji
A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure is approaching from the west and will affect the western parts of the country until later tonight.

They say an easterly wind flow prevails over Fiji.

The Weather Office says possible impacts include flash flooding in flood-prone, low-lying informal settlements and communities, as well as at businesses and Irish crossings, which could lead to traffic disruptions.

Surface flooding is also possible on streets in urban areas with poor drainage.

Wet roads and reduced visibility, especially during heavy downpours, could increase the risk of road accidents.
