As the FIJI Water Flying Fijians continue preparations for the final of the 2026 Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup tomorrow, interim head coach Senirusi Seruvakula says the team is ready to face Japan.
Speaking from Tokyo, Seruvakula says they know Japan will be a very strong side, especially with the home crowd behind them, and they expect the hosts to try to open up the game.
He says the Flying Fijians will need to focus on their own strengths and turn up well prepared for the match.
He also highlighted the need for the players to remain disciplined, as any lapses in discipline could cost them the game.
Meanwhile, tomorrow’s Pacific Nations Cup final will be the third consecutive time the two teams have met in the final.
Seruvakula has named a formidable side to take on Japan at 10.05pm tomorrow at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo.
