The Fiji Kulas have suffered a tough start to their MSG Prime Minister’s Cup 2026 campaign after going down 4-0 to Papua New Guinea at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

PNG took control of the match early, with Keren Kalapai completing a first-half hat-trick.

The Kulas went into the half-time break trailing 3-0 and their hopes of mounting a comeback were dealt another blow just a minute after the restart when Calista Maneo scored PNG’s fourth goal.

Fiji was unable to find a way back into the contest as PNG held firm to secure a convincing victory on the opening day of the women’s competition.

Kulas will face Vanuatu at 7pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Bula Boys will play the Solomon Islands at 7 tonight.
