Tailevu Rugby is calling on its supporters to turn out in numbers as the team prepares for its next challenge against 2025 Skipper Cup defending champions Malolo Rugby this weekend.
Reflecting on the team's hard-fought victory over Suva last week, Tailevu debutant Waisea Niumataiwalu says it was his second match of the year, and acknowledged the large crowd that came out to support Tailevu at their home ground.
He also thanked the team’s management, sponsors, coaches and his fellow players for their support and for giving him the opportunity to take the field.
Niumataiwalu describes the match against Suva as a tough and closely contested game, saying it could have gone either way.
He also thanked the Suva players and supporters for making the trip to Tailevu.
With the Suva match now behind them, Niumataiwalu is urging Tailevu supporters to come out in numbers for the upcoming clash against Malolo.
He says the support from the sidelines means a lot to the players as they look to secure another victory.
